F-2-7 Points Calculator

Estimate whether you may have an F-2-7 route, and roughly how many points you would score. Takes about two minutes.

Free, no sign-up needed. Your answers stay in your browser unless you choose to save.

What gets scored

You normally need at least 80 points out of about 170, after deductions.

  • Age 25
  • Highest education 25
  • Korean ability (TOPIK / KIIP) 20
  • Official annual income 60
  • Korean university degree +10
  • KIIP Level 5 completed +10
  • Top overseas university +30
  • Recognized volunteering +7
  • Government / special talent +20

Immigration fines and criminal penalties are subtracted. Some serious cases can bar an application entirely, no matter the score.

Points alone are not enough

You must belong to an eligible F-2-7 applicant route AND reach the points threshold. Clearing 80 points does not help if your visa, job or residence history does not fit a route — which is why the calculator checks your route first.

Where these numbers come from

These values come from the official Ministry of Justice manual: 법무부 출입국·외국인정책본부「체류민원 자격별 안내 매뉴얼」(2026. 7.) pp. 371-373. They were checked against that source directly. Rules can still change between editions, so confirm your own case with the Immigration Contact Center on 1345 before applying.

Not sure F-2-7 is your route?

F-2-7 is one of several ways to settle in Korea, and it is not the right fit for everyone who lands on this page. The visa finder covers work, study, marriage, teaching, ancestry, job-seeking and permanent residence — search by visa code or just describe your situation.
